Handmade Tasmanian Oak Bookshelf & Display Shelf
Bring the warmth of natural timber into your home with our handmade Tasmanian Oak wall shelf. A handy home for children’s books, kitchen cookbooks, spices or favourite keepsakes, its simple design suits a range of rooms without taking up floor space.
Our handmade process
Each shelf is made by hand in our workshop in Teesdale Vic. We cut and shape the Tasmanian Oak, round the edges and sand the surfaces smooth. Keyhole slots are routed into the back for neat, flush wall mounting, before the shelf is finished in your chosen coating or left raw for you to personalise.
Natural variations in the timber give every shelf its own colour, grain and character.

Choose your finish
Raw Tasmanian Oak
Uncoated and ready for your own finish. Raw timber has no protective coating against moisture, stains or cleaning products.
Ultra Clear Satin
A water-based finish with a subtle satin sheen, keeping the timber’s colour as close to its natural appearance as possible.
Polyurethane Satin
An oil-based satin finish that brings out warmer, richer timber tones. This finish may deepen in colour over time.
Ideas for your shelf
Create a book display in the kids’ room, keep favourite recipes within reach in the kitchen, or give small decorative pieces a place of their own.
Installation and care
Use fixings suitable for your wall material and follow the supplied anchors’ installation instructions. Safe load capacity depends on the wall, fixings and correct installation.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For coated shelves, use a lightly damp cloth when needed and dry promptly. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads and prolonged moisture. Keep raw timber dry until a suitable protective finish has been applied.
The character of natural timber
Tasmanian Oak can range from light to darker tones and may feature dark grain lines, timber veins and small surface checks or fine splits. Your shelf may differ from those pictured—these natural variations are part of its individual character.
