Type of Opal - This is an lovely polished Australian Boulder Opal with some nice blue and green colour up the centre. Hand cut and polished, and as with all opals, best viewed in direct light.

I source my opals from local Australian miners and cut and polish them myself. It's often a messy thing to do requiring a lot of patience and persistence, often with muddy and waterlogged fingers, as there are many stages of grinding and polishing for each one. Yet a glorious delight to find that colour within a stone, something that has never been seen before. I tend to like the unusual ones, the unique and different that bring such natural beauty. All opals are solid unless otherwise stated.
