An original botanical artwork created using solar printing with maple leaves, capturing their delicate shapes, veining and natural variations. These maple leaves were lovingly collected many years ago and pressed after a trip to the UK.
The cover brings together beautiful layers of soft blues and earthy tones, with touches of gold that catch the light and add a subtle warmth to the design.
The artwork is created through a slow, hands-on process, allowing the leaves, sunlight and colour to leave their own impression on the paper. The result is a piece with a lovely sense of depth and natural variation.
The journal is traditionally Coptic stitched with pure linen thread, giving it a flexible binding that opens beautifully and lies flat.
