All of my items are made from robust Brazilian Linhasita knotting yarn. This yarn is waterproof, tear-resistant, colorfast, and very durable.
The nature of the knots means that there is a front and a back to the design. I have included pictures so you can see the difference. Please note there is NO glue used at all in micro macrame. The ends of the threads are melted in order to seal them and prevent fraying.
The cord is water resistant however the material will last longer if you dont get it wet. You can gently hand-wash it in cool water with mild soap only when needed, and always lay it flat or hang it to air dry.
