Hi, I’m Alison from Banksia Babywear, and I’m proud to be hosting the Macquarie Artisan Meetup in the ACT. I create beautiful and practical babywear in Australiana prints, inspired by my own journey as a mum. What started with sewing for my little ones has grown into a business filled with pieces made for real life and little adventures. Nope! These meetups are open to all Australian artisans—whether you sell on Madeit, at markets, or you’re just getting started. Come as you are.
What actually happens at an Artisan Meetup?
Each session runs for one hour and follows a simple format:
☕ Grab a cuppa (your shout!)
👋🏼 Introduce yourself
🖌 Share what you’re working on
💬 Chat through a creative topic (pulled from the Conversation Pot!)
👉🏼 Leave with one small action to move you forward
Do I need to book or can I just show up?
Please RSVP if you can so we know how many to expect, but we’re all about ease. If you feel like coming last minute, you’re welcome too.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, something small you’re working on or excited about, and a willingness to share and support. No prep. No pressure.
