This delicate handmade clay character exudes quiet charm and whimsy. Her head forms a small bowl, ideal for a tealight, bringing a soft glow to her gentle expression.
She cradles a small black bird in her hands, while another perches lightly atop her head, creating a sense of connection and care. Her beak is finished in gold lustre, catching the light with a subtle shimmer.
Her body is glazed in glossy white, dotted with black for a playful, textured effect, while her face is left matt, adding softness and a serene contrast. Standing approximately 10cm tall, she has been carefully fired three times in my kiln, with layered underglazes enhancing shadow, depth and fine detail.
Entirely handmade and one of a kind, this piece is a small, whimsical companion — a quiet vessel for light, narrative and imagination.
