Little Treasure Keeper Head
A tiny guardian for your favourite treasures.
A little spotty green birdy girl, a treasure keeper. She stands 7cm tall and 7cm across. With her little wings, long legs and gold lustre beak.... I leave the face matt, glazing the eyes and lips only
Each whimsical Treasure Keeper Head is handcrafted from clay in my home studio in Wellard, Western Australia. Part bird, part human, each little face has its own quiet personality and curious expression, finished with a shiny lustre beak.
Every piece is individually hand-built, then carefully painted. Using black underglaze on the bird body, once the clay reaches the perfect leather-hard stage, I use a tiny tool to patiently scratch back every feather, creating the little dotty pattern.
After drying, each Treasure Keeper is fired three times in the kiln:
• Bisque fired
• Glaze fired
• A final firing to fuse the gold lustre beak
The bowl-shaped head is perfect for holding rings, earrings, crystals, tiny keepsakes, or simply sitting on a shelf bringing a little whimsy to your home
.
Because every piece is handmade and painted by hand, no two are ever the same. Tiny variations, marks and textures are all part of their character and celebrate the handmade process.

A small keeper of tiny treasures, with a story all its own. ❤️
