Description
Old surf kites, new life. This duffle is handmade mainly from a 6m F-One Bandit surf kite, with a few patches from other brands. It’s ripstop nylon that would otherwise have gone to landfill, and the teal, silver and white are the kite’s own colours.
It’s incredibly light, which makes it a good choice if you’re watching your weight allowance for carry-on travel. The kite fabric is also splash-proof, so it works well as a swim bag, a beach bag or a gym bag, and it dries quickly. Bright orange webbing handles make it easy to carry, and there are two small internal pockets for keys, cards, or essentials.
Every bag is cut and sewn by me in Torquay, Victoria, so no two are the same. This one is perfectly imperfect: you’ll see the kite’s original safety print on one end, and some of the stitching is weathered but still strong. It carries the Recycling in the Breeze label.
