This journal began as a sheet of watercolour paper laid out under the Queensland sun — dyed, printed, and transformed using leaves, and solar printing techniques. Every cover is an original artwork, created slowly and intentionally guided by the sun, so no two journals will ever be the same.
Inside the front and back covers, you’ll find a small piece of handmade paper with a delicate touch of nature — a reminder of where the materials came from. The journal pages themselves are thick 200gsm art paper, beautiful for writing, sketching, and gentle watercolour work.
Each page is stitched by hand using strong, pure linen thread, a traditional binding method chosen for both durability and beauty. It allows the journal to open flat, making it easy to use wherever inspiration finds you.
And that’s the heart of this piece — it’s made to be enjoyed. Imagine taking it out while sitting under a tree, sketching the shapes of leaves. Or curling up in bed with a cup of tea, writing down the small moments of your day. A bespoke gift to a special person in your life. Or journalling on a plane or train as you begin a new adventure.
Every part of it — from the printed cover to the final knot in the binding — is made entirely by hand on the Sunshine Coast. Its small variations and natural markings are part of its charm, a reminder that it was crafted slowly, not manufactured.

Because dyes are used, slight colour transfer may occur over time. This has been reduced by the use of a natural wax on the covers. This is a normal characteristic of hand‑dyed materials and does not affect the quality or durability of the journal.
