This handy zipper pouch is a stunning combination of ice dyeing, fabric printing and hand stitching.
For the ice dyeing (where powdered dye passes through ice cubes before it hits the fabric, resulting in interesting colour splits, speckles and subtle surprises) I used light grey, blue and green dyes. The random wobbly circles are stenciled and accentuated with hand stitching.
The base of the bag is made using upcycled denim and the lining has a matching pale turquoise colour. Finished with a leather zipper pull with wooden bead and a leather label, this boxy zipper pouch is not only functional but also strikingly different and attractive, and not just for women!
I opted for a double layer of cotton wadding as I wanted it to be sturdy enough to stand up by itself and protect the contents.
It is a great pouch to store your sewing, knitting or crochet notions, your pens and pencils, toiletries, art supplies, collections, small projects, first aid and medicines when traveling and so on.
Dimensions: 22cm wide, 10cm tall and 6cm deep.

I use fibre reactive dyes which are colour fast. Only prolonged exposure to the sun may cause some fading.
