This handmade ceramic serving plate, carefully built from rolled out clay, is designed to bring beauty and simplicity to everyday dining.
With a raised rim it is somewhere between a Bowl & a Plate - known as a Modern Blate.
Hand built from black, mid-fire stoneware clay, pressed with a wooden roller to create a floral decoration, allowed to dry slowly for 2 weeks before it is bisque fired and finally finished in a translucent white glaze before it is fired a 2nd time.
The Glaze pools within the surface textures to features the floral pattern of the beautiful Echinacea (Coneflower) that adds depth and character to this unique, high rimmed plate.
At 21 cm wide, it’s the perfect size for serving cheeses, fruit, pastries, or shared dishes at the table. The soft raised rim helps keep food in place while giving the plate a clean, elegant profile.
