A one-of-a-kind mosaic, created especially for you.
I create bespoke mosaic votives and illuminated artworks by hand in my Melbourne studio. Each piece is individually designed and made using hand-cut glass, with colour, texture and light forming an important part of the finished artwork.
The photographs in this listing show examples of my previous work and are intended to give you an idea of my style and the possibilities available. Your commissioned piece will be individually designed rather than an exact reproduction.
My work is influenced by Art Deco design, strong graphic forms, elegant silhouettes and the beautiful transformation of glass when illuminated from behind.
The handmade process
Each commission begins with a conversation about your ideas, preferred colours, size and overall style. I then develop the design, select the glass and materials, hand-cut and individually place each piece before grouting and finishing the artwork. Larger works can take approximately 40–50 hours to create.
Pieces can be designed as decorative mosaic artworks or votives to be illuminated from within, allowing the colours and textures of the glass to change beautifully between day and night.
Commissioning Your Piece
Custom mosaic commissions start from $1,000. Each piece is individually designed and handcrafted, with the final price depending on the size, complexity, materials and lighting requirements.
