These beautiful hand painted blackwood ply earrings are part of our Australiana collection celebrating some iconic animals and plants that make this country special.
These earrings are designed and made by us in our studio and workshop from Blackwood Ply and Sterling Silver and hand painted using non-toxic water based acrylic paints.
I LOVE ducks ! My Mum fed ducks for 50 years on her lunch break from work and I have always had a soft spot for these little birdies so imagine my delight when I found that we had our very own beautiful native Aussie duck. Well I simply HAD to design one for our collection.
The Aussie Shelduck is large, full of bright coloured feathers and hangs out in fresh water. They feast on grass, algae, insects and molluscs - yummy ! They fly in V formations and like to hang out in pairs or with the fam - awwww.
