This soft hobo bag was created from a lady's Winter tunic in a soft, knitted fabric. The pattern is random ovals in reds, terracotta, ochre, & grey/blue/white on a very dark, almost black, background.
It is lined with dark burgundy fabric with a tiny leafy design that originally began as a business shirt. The bag has a zip pocket on the back wall and a double slip pocket inside the front wall. It closes with a magnetic snap in an antique brass colour.
My hobo bags are quite big - about 35 cm x 28 cm, so they hold quite a lot.
The wide comfortable strap is long enough to wear the bag across your body, then it sits on your hip (it is 100cm). Alternatively, you could wear it on one shoulder if you prefer.
I have named this design ‘Sadie Jane’ after a school friend when I was young.
