This soft hobo bag was created from a lovely woollen picnic blanket in dark red and black. The appliqued rose was inspired by a tattoo design and uses more of the same blanket and a small piece of a green blanket for the leaves. I have hand applied the fringe of the blanket as a feature around the top of the bag.
It is lined with charcoal & white striped fabric that was originally a shirt. The bag has a double slip pocket inside.
My hobo bags are quite big - about 35 cm x 28 cm, so they hold quite a lot.
The wide comfortable strap is long enough to wear the bag across your body, then it sits on your hip (it is 100cm). Alternatively, you could wear it on one shoulder if you prefer.
