There's something meditative about stitching that calms the mind and relaxes the body.

My Slow Stitching Kits are carefully selected pieces from my ever-growing stash of fabrics and bits and bobs which I have accumulated over some 30 years of collecting. Including new, vintage and recycled materials.

Perfect for using in any textile project or just to add to your stash for inspiration. Use for slow stitching projects, collage, visible mending, quilting, embroidery, textile art or whatever you can imagine.

There may be some pieces I have hand dyed or hand painted myself, including linen, cotton, rayon, lace or sweet doily offcuts. As some elements in this bundle are hand dyed or hand painted, colours will differ slightly with each piece. There will be some imperfections, rough edges, selvedge’s and mottled colours, which to my mind, all add a little bit of history and appeal, making each bundle unique.

In this pack you will receive:

- a backing piece of blue cotton 29cm x 29cm

- assorted pieces of pretty cotton fabrics, a few hand dyed by me

- dyed doily bits and trims

- 4 x embroidery threads

- a metal needle.

Kits are suitable for beginners and experienced stitchers alike.

Feel free to add any other fabrics, embellishments to your stitching.

Note: All pieces have been washed, ironed and the dyed fabrics have been set (or mordanted) with salt, however, there may always be a small amount of dye that could come out in washing. So cold wash only and please take care if washing with other items.

I have done my best to photograph the colours correctly, however, with all our different devices and monitors there may be slight colour differences.

Packs are packaged in a clear resealable cellophane slip.
