Stunning oval shaped earrings with a large centre hole, cut from recycled copper sheet.
These earrings are hand cut and shaped. Once I’ve achieved the shape I want, each earring is enamelled on the back with black powdered enamel. Once fired and cooled I clean the front of the earrings and apply the red powdered enamel and fire again. Both of these processes happen twice so there are two layers of enamel in the front and back of each earring. I then apply the glass shards and fire until they are fused to the red base colour. The gold accents are then added using gold enamel paint and fired once more to fuse to the red enamel.
The edges of the earrings are filed and buffed until smooth and shiny.
Each earring measures 2.7cm long and 2.3cm wide
The hole in the top of the earrings measures 1.2cm in diameter
The ear hooks are made from Argentium silver
