Description
The bag is a generous medium-sized bag - large enough to carry an A4 folder, and more - but narrow enough that it is not bulky.
Patchwork Orphans are blocks that were made for a larger project, and are left-overs because more were made than were required.
The colours celebrate dawn light on eucalypt leaves - the copper reflected off the leaves as the sun rose, followed rapidly by the green of the leaves with bright silver flashes and the blue of the sky.
The designs on the front of the bag are open to interpretation - trees? mushrooms? butterflies? blocks? The blocks on the back have been build into chevrons or waves. Both front and back are quilted, and the quilting can be seen on the lining. The lining is a delicate twining green pattern on a cream background.
The bag is 49 cm x 39 cm, and the strap is 62 cm long.
The bag is made from cotton fabric, cotton wadding and cotton sewing thread, so can be washed safely in cold water.
