Yay! Another bird painting done. This one is a Macaw. What do you think? I used both acrylic and oil paints with this macaw. I did find acrylic was easier to work with, but the surface of the canvas needs to be a bit smoother though so that my brush can glide easier when doing the details of the feathers. Bird painting is not easy, but I am enjoying the challenge and I am constantly learning along the way.
