The Day the Rain Came (2023) was my response to the rainfall after a long dry period on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. My garden became green overnight and the flowers started to bloom. This work was also my opportunity to loosen my painting techniques.
Ready to hang acrylic and oil paint on primed, stretched canvas. 210cm high and 210cm wide and the canvas is 3.5cm deep.
