Lapis Lazuli, Agate and Gold Earrings

Drop earrings off dark blue lapis lazuli and tiny dyed blue faceted agate gemstones. These delicate earrings have little antique gold hexagonal beads on either side of the oblong lapis beads. The ear wires are gold filled.

Gold filled ear wires and components are not actually gold filled but is coated in a layer of gold. Gold-filled pieces are composed of solid layers of gold (typically constituting at least 5% of the item's total weight) mechanically bonded to a base metal, in this case brass. This layer is much thicker than gold plating, resulting in a durable, long-lasting product that looks has the appearance solid gold. Under normal wearing conditions and with proper care, your gold-filled jewellery should last at 10 to 30 years. Gold-Filled jewellery can also be worn by people with sensitive skin.
