Inspiration for this quilt came from a length of vintage 90s fabric that I found in an op shop. By happy chance I had a remnant piece of bright blue fabric that matched perfectly and from which I created the quilt top.
I love the versatility of half-square triangles and this quilt top is one of my favourite uses of this simple block.I chose a 'pebble' long-arm quilting design which contrasts the sharp edges of the half-square triangles.
Quilt top is 100% cotton. Backing fabric is probably cotton although could possibly be a poly-cotton blend. Cotton wadding.
Measures 33.5 inch / 85cm square. It is a good size for a cot or bassinet, or you could hang it on the wall as an art piece.
