The Forest Pool Bowl
There’s something really grounding about this piece. I designed it with a wide, shallow shape to give the glaze plenty of room to move, and the result reminds me of a deep, mossy forest pool.
You can see the path the green and chocolate tones took as they melted into the dappled blue center during the firing.
It’s got a nice glossy finish and a slightly irregular edge that reminds you it was made by hand, not a machine.
Because of those natural flow patterns and the slightly irregular rim. It’s a solid, functional bowl that’s tough enough for daily use, but the high-gloss finish makes it pretty enough to just sit out as a center piece on your kitchen bench or dining room table.
Dimensions: Approximately 26cm wide x 4cm deep.
Material: Australian white clay.
Finish: High-gloss and food safe reactive glaze in forest green, slate blue, and earth brown.

Note: As with all handmade pottery, avoid sudden extreme temperature changes (like going straight from the fridge to a hot oven) to prevent thermal shock.
