The paper piglet journey…
Yes, it involves kangaroos too! Each paper kangaroo is lovingly handmade from cardstock or texture paper. I design each kangy shape, cut the body and other bits out from paper, assemble it and photograph it in my garden in bright sunlight to give natural shadows…11am or 1pm give the best effect! Then I add a kanga face and colourful background. The final touch is adding details like a cricket bat or a hat or a little furry companion so that each design tells a delightful story. Funnily enough, I don’t have a printing press in the living room so each piece is sent off to a fabulous printer in Marrickville, NSW where it is printed on beautiful archival quality card.
