The Cove tumbler brings together a pale blue glaze and naturally speckled clay, with a fine plum coloured edge tracing the place where they meet. Gentle streaks of blue flow down the surface, giving each tumbler its own little coastal landscape.

I throw each one on the wheel in my Sunshine Coast home studio. The glazed interior and smooth rim make it a lovely everyday companion for coffee, tea or a cool drink, while the exposed clay adds a little texture beneath your fingers.

Made individually, each tumbler has its own glaze patterns and subtle variations. My maker’s stamp finishes the base.
