I regularly visit the Australian Garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens to wander, sketch, and paint in my field journal. These beautiful blooms are a sight to behold as you take a detour off the main path to find them. The rich colours of the blooms catch your eye first but its the fascinating seed heads and the yellow gold and rust of the spent blooms that captivate me most. I spent hours sketching painting these - I so want to grow these and and have them right here in my own garden, but for now they are part of my journal, hope you will enjoy them all year round tool
