Green and blue glazed porcelain birb doodle bowl, handmade in tassie

this is one of my "doodle" bowls. I use the term "doodle" very lightly as each tiny birb takes me ages to paint with underglazes!

every one of my pieces is hand thrown on a wheel, trimmed, dried painted, fired, sanded, glazed and then fired again before making their way to my shop

this particular doodle bowl is made with Australian fine porcelain, and decorated with various Aussie birbs. this bowl has swift parrots, flame robins, kookaburras, yellow tailed black cockatoos and superb fairy wrens
I’m lucky enough to be able to say that all of these gorgeous birds live in the trees around my home here in south tassie 🥰

Inside is a dreamy, melt glaze of blues and greens, which drips over the rim

This particular bowl has a small firing tear on the rim, which I’ve zoomed in on in the last photo. It doesn’t affect its durability or functionality, though I would recommend to avoiding using it with food.
