This velvet stopped me in my tracks the moment I found it — that deep, warm brown with all its gorgeous texture has such an old-world quality, the kind of fabric that feels like it belongs to another era entirely. I brought it home knowing it wanted to be something structured and elegant. Something Art Deco.
So I paired it with an antique bronze-style clasp and a beautifully structured metal handle — classic, considered, quietly sophisticated. From the outside, it's all vintage restraint and elegance. The kind of bag you'd carry to a gallery opening or a long lunch somewhere lovely.
And then you open it.
Bright pink floral lining. Bold, joyful, and completely unexpected against all that rich brown velvet. That little surprise of colour tucked inside a classic exterior is my favourite thing to design, and it never gets old.
