Description

This wall hanging began with the 3 shapes on the woven background.
The abstracted golfing theme is loosely based on the modernist paintings of Joan Miró, which featured large blocks of colour and expressive linework. The diamond pattern of the fabric samples is reminiscent of the bold patterns of golfers pants, which is what inspired the final design.
I've used decorator fabric samples, lino, vinyl, cord and metallic thread in this piece. I've kept the colour range to a minimum.
This wall hanging measures 54cm wide x 75cm high. It has timber battens and a natural cotton cord for hanging.
