This long-line bifold wallet pairs functionality with artisan leathercraft techniques.
The outer is hand-dyed vegetable-tanned leather, selected for its character and potential to develop a rich patina over time. Inside, a kangaroo leather core provides strength without bulk, fully lined with soft, supple sheepskin nappa for a luxurious feel in hand.
Designed with folded edges for durability and clean lines, this piece features:
Three full-length pockets to accommodate notes, receipts—or even a mobile phone.
Eleven card slots, with three positioned for quick access.
Secure closure comes courtesy of two discreet magnets—strong enough to keep the wallet shut, provided it's not overfilled.
Entirely hand-sewn using the traditional saddle stitch technique, this method outperforms machine stitching for strength and longevity. Stitched with high-quality, waxed 100% linen thread.
Edges have been sanded to a fine 2000 grit, then burnished, waxed, and sealed—creating a smooth, hard-wearing finish that complements the build.
Please note:
This wallet has lived quietly in storage for two years and shows minor cosmetic signs of age, including a few uneven stitches and a softened sheen to the thread. These do not affect the durability or integrity of the piece, and are reflected in the price. If anything, they speak to its handmade nature—proof that this isn’t a factory product, but something crafted slowly, with care, by hand.
Why two years?
I was happy with the wallet overall, but the original edgework didn’t meet the standard I set for my finished goods. After two years of refining my techniques, I revisited the piece and brought it up to the level it deserved. I’m glad I did.
