Beautiful upcycled timber tray, decoupaged and gilded

This is the most beautiful tea tray, decorative and functional. Breakfast in bed anyone? 

An upcycle, the tray is decoupaged and then gilded for that touch of elegance. Absolutely one of a kind!

The tray is timber which was quite dark, but it's likely pine which had been painted multiple times! It has a 'hand crafted' quality about it and there were no marks to indicate it had been 'factory' made. Impossible to know though. It was definitely ready for an upcycle!

The tray measures 450mm x 370mm (a reasonably 'standard' size).

Depth of main part of tray approx 50mm, with the handles slightly higher.

Decoupage and gilding is sealed with several coats of varnish and a final coat of spray acrylic.

The underside is currently painted and varnished, but depending on intended use, felt, cork or small furniture protectors could be added.

Don’t immerse completely in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
