Palm Cockatoo - Edition of 20
Linoprint and hand-painted individually with watercolours.
The palm cockatoo, also known as the goliath cockatoo or great black cockatoo, is a large smoky-grey or black parrot of the cockatoo family native to New Guinea, Aru Islands, and Cape York Peninsula. It has a very large black beak and prominent red cheek patches.
I have created the print by hand-carving a piece of lino, rolling ink onto the linocut and hand-printing the print onto the watercolour paper. I have then painted the linoprint with lightfast watercolours.
Ink: Caligo Safe Wash - Oil-based and lightfast pigment
Watercolour: Dr PH Martins - Hydrus watercolours
Paper: 300gsm Watercolour Paper - Acid free
Paper size: Height 29.7 mm x Width 21mm
Image size: Height 170mm x Width 120mm
Your hand-signed, hand-painted edition print will be one of only "20" printed, each one slightly different which makes it unique.
The print is sold unmounted and unframed. The image can be framed as is within a window mount. Picture framers will cut window mounts to size if you wish to use an existing frame.
