This artwork is about a feeling rather than a specific place.

I wanted to capture that quiet moment when something difficult has passed but the world is still slowly settling back into place.

The lighthouse is simple and symmetrical. Its standing there calmly despite the weather around it. The shadows, the darker clouds, and the slightly wet feeling of the grass, all helped create that atmosphere.

It isn't really about the storm itself. It's about the calm that comes after it.

That's why I called it... After the Storm.
