Verity Makes began as a creative outlet for me as a new mother returning to work and feeling that I needed space to do something for filled my love of sewing, art and making.

I opened my shop while working full time, squeezing it into the margins of my busy life. Since then, I have left what was a well established career and begun studying a Bachelor of Midwifery, which my small business supports through flexibility around my family and the requirements of such an intensive degree.

I love creating pieces for the special moments in family life, and feel deeply inspired by the transformative period all parents go through when raising young children.

Verity Makes is for the parent who wants to add an extra touch of magic to the childhood of their children.
