RaeMorley Ceramics specialises in wheel thrown and hand built ceramics that is both functional and beautiful. My pottery journey started over 40 years ago and I have now returned to ceramics after retiring from classroom and art teaching. My inspiration comes from the natural world: in particular the flora and fauna that makes my home and studio in Greensborough so special. My ceramic ware is made from mid fire and high fire stoneware and porcelain. It is suitable for daily use in the home and kitchen. One off ceramic jewellery pieces are also part of my body of work.
I find great joy in the often unpredictable clay creative process and I continue to be on a never ending learning pathway with this fascinating medium.
Time, thought, skills and patience underpin the production of each handcrafted, unique piece of my art.
