My love of textiles developed at a very young age age when I used to watch my grandmother sitting in her cane chair, crocheting with the smallest thread imaginable to create the most beautiful doilies. With the help of my mother, I learnt to crotchet, knit, embroider, sew and macrame. Every time I reach for my thread, I pay tribute to the incredible women who were in my life. Nelly’s handmade is all about keeping these age old crafts alive.
