Hi there, my name is Mia. I make small things that speaks to my heart in my home in Perth.
I started knitting and embroidery very early in my life, learning from my mother and grandmother. For a long while these are just hobbies that I enjoy, nothing more. It was not until I went through the darkest period of my life, when I realised that there are a lot more in the making of things.
I now create to express. I make things that belongs to my great grandmother's culture; I make things about what I've learnt being a woman; I make tokens of reminder for you to be kind to yourself, and I make things that invite joy in everyday life.
