Hi, I’m Olga - welcome to my store! I’m so glad you stopped by. I design and create clutches, totes, purses and whatever else inspiration brings. Each piece is individually crafted as either a one-off, or part of a small batch - making every item unique.
Handcrafting means all cutting is done with scissors or blades - no lasers, no automation. I construct each bag in my Melbourne workroom using a mix of hand stitching and machine sewing. For hand stitching I use the traditional saddle stitch technique - a centuries-old method using two needles and one continuous thread. This produces strong lines of interlocking stitches which won't unravel if one breaks.
I source my leathers from all around the world and use pure linen thread for hand stitching. Before your bag is sent to you it's hand-buffed with natural waxes and conditioners to bring out the leather's beauty and character.
In an effort to reduce waste, I often use offcuts from furnishing suppliers for linings and sometimes re-purpose leather and hardware from other uses. This process ensures that no two pieces are exactly the same - each one has its own colourway and personality.
Handcrafting takes time and is not always perfect - but each piece is made attention and love. I hope you like them!
