Very happy to be here. I'm Ros, or if we want the long version Rosalind. I owned and ran an Art Gallery in the Sutherland Shire, NSW, for a decade. Lived and loved my passion, but time passed quickly and now I am retired. However, not from creating art. I've dipped my paintbrush in my coffee (accidentally) too many times to stop now. I paint from my home studio using acrylic paint on canvas and my favourite subject is seascapes but actually I will paint whatever catches my eye and my heart. Colour is also very important to me. I would call my style "contemporary realism". It is important to me to capture mood, memories, emotion and life. This all seems to resonate with my customers who often comment they were drawn to a particular painting because of what they feel as much as what they see.
