Hi, I’m Yanie, the maker behind Butter Stitch Co in Smithton, Tasmania. I started by sewing scrunchies, then moved on to wristlets and boxy bags. I also love sewing gifts for friends and picking out fabrics that remind me of them.
I’m a physio and run hydrotherapy sessions, which is what got me making wet bags for swimwear after the pool. A lot of what I sew comes from wanting something handy for work or everyday life, like a lanyard for my work ID, a wristlet to keep my keys easy to grab, or a boxy bag for all the little things I carry around.
I cut and sew each piece myself at home. I hope you find something you’ll use often or something that makes you think, “Oh, she’d love that.” 💛
Shipping Policy
Ready to ship in Ready to ship: 3–5 days. Made to order: 3–6 days for small items and 5–10 days for boxy bags and other larger items. (business days)
Ships out using: Australia Post — Untracked Letter or tracked Standard Parcel.
Tracking code provided upon shipment (if applicable)
Delivery Times: Standard post is estimated at 5–7 business days after dispatch, depending on your location.
Free standard shipping on Australian orders. Small, flat orders may be sent via Australia Post Untracked Letter, which does not include a tracking number. Orders of three or more items and larger items such as boxy bags are sent via tracked Standard Parcel at no extra cost.
I don’t accept change-of-mind returns. If your item arrives damaged, is faulty or differs significantly from its description, please message me through Madeit with your order details. I’ll help arrange the appropriate remedy under Australian Consumer Law.
