It all started over 25 years ago with a love of dogs, a passion for craftsmanship, and a desire to create something truly unique.
Bling My Leather is a small artisan leather business located in Mt Mee, north of Brisbane, specialising in handcrafted leatherwork created with care, dedication, and traditional techniques.
My journey into leatherwork began through my involvement in the dog sporting world, where I competed in official obedience competitions with my Dobermann, Caesar. Wanting a beautifully crafted plaited leather obedience lead, I discovered a talented leatherworker at the Ferny Grove markets who created and sold handcrafted plaited leads and belts.
Inspired by his work, I asked if he could teach me the art of cutting my own leather lace and plaiting leads. With great generosity, he shared his knowledge and skills, and from that first lesson I was completely captivated by the craft.
I spent countless hours practising, refining my techniques, and creating plaited leads for friends. What began as a personal interest soon grew into a true passion for leather artistry.
Some years later, after changing my sporting focus from obedience competitions to the dog show world, a friend encouraged me to start creating plaited leads for fellow exhibitors. This was the moment Bling My Leather was born.
From humble beginnings, Bling My Leather has grown into a celebration of award-winning craftsmanship, traditional leather techniques, and unique handcrafted pieces that combine quality materials, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the craft.

Delivery Times: 5-7 business days is common for standard post
Signature on Delivery will be activated on ALL items.
Custom orders are also welcome. Please contact me if you are wanting a custom order.
We have a 14day return policy for manufacturing defects only. This means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
We do not offer a refund/return for change of mind or you have provided incorrect measurements for belts and all plaited items.
When ordering belts or plaited items, please ensure you provide the right sizing and/or measurements.
If you have any questions or are unsure of measurements, please contact me first before ordering.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.
