I make home made, hand rolled and hand poured pure, local, organic beeswax candles. I am a ready to retire Registered Nurse who is doing all she can to remove toxins in family homes. I became very ill myself and traced a lot of my illness back to the harsh, hormone disrupting, rash causing, mysterious illness causing toxins in my own home. I started researching everything. No stone left unturned and I was surprised at the dangers in my own home. Even as a nurse - I was unaware so Beez Kneez was born. I wanted to heal myself, create a safe space to live in and ensure that my family would not end up ill like myself. I was suffering migraines each time I lit my store brought candles so I did a deep dive on those too. What I found was mind blowing. So I started creating my own candles as there is nothing nicer than curling up with a good book, a hot cuppa and beeswax candle scent and light to read by. I get all of my beeswax and products locally in Tasmania and source from ethical and trusted sources only. No additives, no dyes, no oils, no scents. Just healthy, negative ion beeswax products great for our environment, great for the health and wellbeing of every individual who loves beeswax and safe for pets too. Having my own health issues clear up from removing heavy scents, toxins, unsafe cleaning products and more became the creation of Beez Kneez. I hope you love them as much as I do. Why Beeswax?
- Beeswax is a sustainable and safe option for candle-making that supports local beekeepers and is biodegradable, meaning it goes back into the environment when broken-down.
- Candles made from beeswax are clean-burning and release minimal-to-no soot when lit.
- Beeswax candles also hold a longer shelf-life and can withstand the temperature changes without cracking, 'pulling away' from containers, and are firmer when made so can be placed almost anywhere.
- Beeswax also provides a natural honey-like scent, so no harmful or toxic fragrances need to be added to provide a subtle smell when burned in any space.
Product Info
- Made from locally-sourced 100% pure Australian organic beeswax, cotton wick.
- As these are hand-rolled / hand-poured, every candle is unique and may not be perfectly round, flat or symmetrical.
- Because the beeswax is locally-sourced and 100% natural, the colour of the beeswax can vary from candle-to-candle anywhere from pale yellow to a deeper, brownish hue. Some may appear darker or lighter than others; this is perfectly normal and does not affect the burn of the candle. If a candle has some dark parts and others are light, this is also normal and does not affect the burn of the candle.
Safety & Care
- Remove any labels before use.
- Always burn on a heat-resistant surface.
- Keep away from direct sun and drafts.
- Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time.
- Keep wick trimmed to ¼ inch (roughly 0.5cm).
- Do not burn unattended.
- Keep wax pool free of debris.
- Do not move candle while burning.
- Keep out of reach of pets and children.
