Tell us about your creations and your handmade process.
Each piece is lovingly handmade using vintage and retro linens. We repurpose them into unique pieces such as bags, hats and keepsakes. Every creation is made by hand whilst giving the original linens a fresh new purpose.
Tell us a bit about your journey to becoming a handmade artist.
It all started many years ago when I became a Mum thirty plus years ago. Since then, creating with my hands has become a part of who I am, and today that journey has grown into Handmade At Woolshed Creek, a small business built on giving vintage linens new life.
What is your inspiration or where do you find inspiration?
My inspiration comes from the things I love, especially Highland Cows and Dachshunds and the charm of anything vintage. There's something special about giving well loved materials a second life.
Where did you learn your craft?
All self taught. Every skill I use today has come from simply picking up the needle and thread and learning as I went, one upcycled creation at a time.
Why is handmade artistry so important to you?
Handmade is important to me because I love working with my hands and bringing ideas to life.
There's something really special about taking something old and giving it new purpose.
I enjoy the process of creating something unique, knowing that each piece has been made with care, creativity and a personal touch.
