A quaich is a traditional Scottish drinking cup, featuring two small handles on opposite sides. Often called the "Scottish cup of Friendship" or "Love Cup" it holds deep cultural significance in Scotland.
Traditionally used in Scottish wedding ceremonies, the couple share their first drink together, symbolising, mutual trust, love, and the blending of two families.
This Quaich, is hand turned and carved from wood and features the Celtic Triquetra, or trinity Knot, on the handles which have been inlaid with synthetic opal.
The bowl is 60mm in diameter, total width with handles is
112mm and standing 50mm high.
The bowl is finished in an alcohol resistant finish, i.e. don't let it stand too long with liquid in it.
Wash in warm soapy water, do not soak.
No Dishwasher.
