Description
For this poncho, I have indigo dyed our alpaca yarn and then plied it with some textured merino and fine merino of differing shades. It has woven up as a soft, mid-weight poncho, perfect for those seasonal in between days.
Matching ear warmer while available is listed separately, as is also a similar headband.
Ponchos are warm, easy to wear and oh-so versatile. Throw it on, and head out the door. Or take an extra moment to line up the joining seam, just forward of your arm and shoulder. For some more elegance, turn it a little, with the seam now down your centre back, roll the neckline over a couple of times, pair it with some smart jeans and a long necklace.
Our small herd of suri alpacas live here on our farm and I can watch them grazing contentedly from the window while I weave. Supplementary fibre comes from nearby farms, making our slow fashion products truly sustainable and ethical.
Gently hand wash in warm water. Do not wring. Can be ironed with a protective cotton tea towel laid over it.
