Dog walking in winter really is a love job. Especially down south on a freezing cold morning or late in the day after work. This vest is made from hand dyed pure wool blanket fabric. It's not recycled. The colour is ochre and has lots of cotton stitching joining circles of silk from mum's stash. This silk was once used by a designer friend who supplied my boutique over 14 years ago. The buttons are vintage from mum's button tin, the button holes are hand stitched too. Size is L/XL. It can be worn as is or pin it closed with a brooch. As it is hand dyed there will be slight variations in colour depth, but nothing that stands out like....you know!
The finish is purposefully rustic, it's going to be thrown in the back seat along with dog leads and be covered in paw prints and dog hair. It will need to be hand washed to protect the hand stitched elements. If you are not a dog walker, you can still enjoy the wandering stitch lines to destinations random and new.
