Geometric pieced textile wall hanging in ivory and earthy tones.
Features:
Approx 32cm/12.5" wide 43cm/16.75" long
Feature fabric has been hand-dyed with plants by layering fabric with botanical matter and leaving buried in the ground for about a week. Fabric was thoroughly washed and ironed after this process.
I like to work sustainably with textiles which means my materials are often purchased secondhand and/or from destashes.

- Minimal hand-quilting through all 3 layers
- Triangular hanging tabs on back
- Artist's initials and year date embroidered on back
- Handstitched binding on back

- Plain weave ivory cotton fabric
- Plant-dyed fabric from a thrifted sheet
- Upcycled fabric backing - linen/viscose blend fabric from a thrifted skirt.
- Batting (believe it to be cotton with a polyester stabilising layer, but unsure as it was bought unlabelled at haberdashery thrift store)
