Sunshine and Raindrops - miniature

You thought things needed to be big to shine?? With bold colours even the tiniest pieces can be loud and proud!
This super cute miniature stained glass 'painting' measures only 6cm x 9cm, and comes complete with mini easel. I've used a variety of different vintage glasses in this piece, including some from my favourite collection of orange tones and textures (I just love a 70's vibe - don't you?!). The rain drops are set forward, giving a fun 3D element to the piece, and the combination of translucent and semi-opaque glasses make for a great outline with either back lighting or front.  
I really enjoyed making this miniature 'painting' and love the fun, cartoon-style quality it brings. And while smaller DOESN'T mean simpler in stained glass terms (it's the opposite) - I'm super happy with how this one turned out and know it will suit all aesthetics, bringing a bit of joy and fun to any work desk or book nook!

Fun fact: This piece was made from my own hand-drawn pattern, and was inspired by the psychedelic sunrise paintings that were popular in the 60's and 70's, with warm autumn colours and bold lines.
