Beach Ocean Lover Earrings

These tiny seahorse earrings are sterling silver castings made from a real seahorse that passed away.

I worked with a local aquarium in Australia that saved any fry (a baby seahorse is called a fry 😉) that didn’t survive the first few weeks due to natural causes. I don’t use any animals in my art that have been killed.

This little fry was freeze-dried, which allowed me to make a silicone mould of it. From this mould, I was able to cast these highly detailed sterling silver earrings.

These earrings are great for sensitive ears, as they are nickel-free and hypoallergenic. They feature so much detail, right down to the tiny tail.
