Natural Brazilian Emerald with Calcite and Sterling Silver Pendant ~ handcrafted by Karina and Mike of Karmic Star

Emerald has been revered through history. First mined in Egypt, possibly from around 1300 B.C., it was noted to be worn by native leaders in South America by Spanish invaders in the 1500s. It was spoken of as a stone of resurrection in Christian legends, and connected with the story of the Holy Grail. By ancient Romans, it was viewed as a symbol of fertility and associated with the Goddess Venus.

Like other green stones, Emerald is aligned with the heart chakra, our centre of love and compassion. It is thought to help you to open your heart to receiving love from others, and to view circumstances and people in your life - and yourself - with kindness and empathy. Also known as a stone of prosperity and abundance, and combined here with energy-amplifying Calcite, this is a very special little treasure, waiting to bestow its blessings on its new keeper ...

Mike has carefully formed and polished this petite one from rough rock to the shiny cabochon you see here. Then it was over to me to carefully embrace it with Australian made, ethically sourced 925 Sterling Silver, which I have oxidised and polished to complete this unique crystal talisman.
